Everything was fantastic. We arrived in a terrific thunderstorm,and unfortunately the wind had blown the window in the room open and the floor was wet. We phoned down to reception, and within minutes we were given access to another room, which in fact was an upgrade. No extra charge was made and our 2 nights at the SPLENDID was absolutely superb. The location of the hotel is great: close to the historical centre of the city, 5 minutes to the beach and restaurants. Nevertheless, the area is quiet enough. Also, the room is comfortable and extremely clean. The sea view is an extra bonus as well. What I liked the most is the cosy terrace near the swimming pool and a relaxing area with a bar that is open even at night. As for the breakfast, it is a usual French breakfast with coffee and croissants. Regarding the fact we had 10-nights stay, we got used to that food very quickly. So, I would like the hotel to offer different types of food or change the menu a little from time to time.

Location was perfect for me: away from the crowds, no annoying people on the beach which is a couple of minutes walk. Also one has an opportunity to be a snob if chooses so by going to a La Cabana private beach. The apartment block was not full, therefore there was no need to fight over sun loungers by the pool. Place is secure with multiple locks/gates, never mind a little confusing. There is garage to keep your hire car safe and sound. The apartment is well equipped, lovely large balcony: with table, chairs, even a coner sofa, plenty of towels.

Small but very well organised hotel, Very nice and helpful receptionist that went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Also suggested sites and very good restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the space was well used. I was also pleasantly surprised by the jacuzzi. All in all very nice hotel experience. Location is also very good right in the middle of the city close to the beach and close to old town. Break was good especially for a small hotel, good quality food well presented very clean proper and fresh.

Beautiful, very clean, very stylish. Superior room was wonderfully large and well equipped generally. Concierge was wonderful in getting us books in restaurants (during the busy yacht show) in very good restaurants who didn’t have any capacity when we tried calling directly.
