B&B San Firmino

Located on the 1st floor of a 16th-century building, B&B San Firmino overlooks the Santa Maria Formosa church’s baroque façade and the canal. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with oak-beamed ceilings and 2 balconies. Owing its name to a statue of St. Firmino hosted in its hall, breakfast at San Firmino is a buffet with sweet produce. It includes yogurt, juices, cereals accompanied by jams and pastries and it is served in the breakfast room with canal-facing mullioned windows. The property was quite good. If you are coming from the S. Lucia train station, you will have to cross about 3 bridges if you plan to walk to the hotel. There is a buffet breakfast which is served to you by the staff due to the Covid situation. The area (Dorsoduro) itself is quite nice, I do suggest travelers to visit here, it’s a lot quieter and less touristy. Delicious food options all around and cheaper than the main areas in Venice (Rialto/S. Marco). The Water bus station/Bus station/Taxis is not too far from the hotel either, it’s about a 3 min walk. They even did this really nice thing of providing me a little gift since I was celebrating my birthday. Overall experience was good.

NH Venezia Rio Novo

Excellent location. We stayed in the annex apartment which was a few doors down from the hotel entrance. Staff was super friendly, helped us with any questions on the area. Lots of places nearby to eat! The apartment was great for space and far exceeded European standards with size.
