We were blown away on our family holiday here for 11 days over Christmas. Fernando and his staff could not do enough for us, their cooking was incredible and the property is stunning and clean. Beautiful Bentota beach is less than 10 min walk over the bridge. And Suranga (who is half way across the bridge on the floating pavilion) would pick us up from our jetty in his boat any time and take us to restaurants (Pier 88 was great), jet skiing and river safari. Highly recommended for a group stay!!

Staff really work hard to make your stay special. Really extensive breakfast of fruit, juice, toast with butter cheese or jam, followed by bacon and eggs as you please. The hotel it 4 km from the town centre and the river, but staff are always on hand to give you a tuk tuk ride to wherever you wish to go at very reasonable rates. £1 each way into town. However, the restaurant good is so good that we ate in every night for our four night stay. Alcoholic drinks are a reasonable price also. Beautiful well kept garden and large swimming pool with sunbeds with mattresses. We loved it here, and preferred a small hotel to the large characterless options on Paradise Island up the road. A real Sri Lankan experience.

I liked the location and superb view from the window. This resort has the advantage of its location where you can see and enjoy the river on one side and the sea on the other. There are some activities even in this pandemic time you can do, like water sports, gym and swimming.

We couldn't ask for more. The place is fantastic with great facilities, beach 1 minute walking, pool, great food and more. The installations are clean and pristine, decorated with very good taste. The staff was awesome, very friendly, professional and efficient and that is a priceless asset. The way that ALL the staff performed their duties exceed anything I we were expecting. For example, we planned to go to the World Heritage Sigiriya and was necessary to leave the facilities at 04:00am in order to get there around 09:00 but that meant to miss the breakfast on that day. As soon as our plans were known, Mishara, a staff member, organized the preparation of two breakfast packs to be ready for us in the morning to take on the journey. Pro-activity and a job well done at its best. A word of appreciation for a great job as well for Chaminda at the reception and to Numesh and Sanjeewa and for all the great people with no exception working there. A big thanks very much.
