The location is perfect! The hotel has its own private beach that is still untouched. Beautiful both in low and high tide. The staff are just amazing and take care of every single detail from the second you reach the hotel until you leave it, they make you feel at home and wouldn’t let you leave the hotel without being completely satisfied. If you need some relaxation time away from everything I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful atmospheric Hotel! Formerly a palace and it still has kept that charme. Extremly spacious and comfortable rooms, the most beautiful are the ones with seaview. Great shower, super comfortable matress, beautifully decorated, stunning views and super centrally located. I saw a few Hotels in Stonetown and this was my absolute favourite. Also the Pool!!will defenitly come back and stay longer...

Incredible breakfast, beach is small lagoon,so ideal for snorkeling when high tide, lots of interesting fish, but wear shoes provided by hotel, since there is also lot of sea urchins in the water. Hotel garden stunning, great pool, you can also play volley, borrow bicycles, for free of course, personnel very kind, smiley and helpful. This place is just wonderful, one of the best hotels we have stayed in

IIf you have no time to visit the museums of Stone Town, stay in this boutique-hotel: saving the atmosphere of early last century. Original furniture is not an exhibit: it is in service. Wooden stairs and slabs, ancient window shades, beds with canopy create the unique feeling of old times. And do not miss to climb up to the roof terrace and admire panoramic view of the Zanzibar city.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Nicole, manager, hostess, the main lady! She was so warm and vibrant! The resort was what we were seeking for an island retreat, the villas were so unique and gave the island retreat vibe. From the sound of the ocean outside the villa to the chill lax atmosphere in the restaurant area, the Baladian exceeded our expectations on what you want for a beach holiday. Nicole took the time to show us throughout the villa herself, which is rare from hotel staff. The resort staff were always friendly and smiling, this is something we did not find often during our stay in Zanzibar. We loved the whole experience, layout, and environment at the Baladian. I forgot to mention all of the cozy beach chairs and beds along with with ambient lighting made this beyond wonderful. This is how a beach resort is supposed to be. Thank you Nicole, thank you Baladian staff 🙏🏻. Do yourself a favor, stay more nights at the Baladian than other resorts. The beach is whiter, cleaner, and quieter. If you want to do excursions, they have you covered.

I could talk for hours about ...If you're looking for a safety amazing Paradise during a pandemic , I strongly recommend ''The Level " experience : social distance , staff wearing masks , hand sanitizer smelling divine, b.t.w. Besides all this , the food was a blast of different tastes every day , the " Level" staff is impeccable, nice, attentive, empathetic . 10 Days in a row I chose Eggs Benedict for Breakfast , with salmon for me & ham for my husband <3 . Don't hesitate anymore , just go ... the infinity pool , the whitest sand on the beach, a lot of good and beautiful people are waiting to treat you like Royalty .

Rooms clean, with AC and lights/plugs in each bunk in dorm rooms. Fantastic location. Good breakfast in morning. Mostly the staff were incredible - they were quick to sort out problems, had good recommendations of the area and couldn't do enough for you. I used a laptop belonging to the manager for about 3 hours to apply for a job, and then again to book a new flight home! A really good hostel - highly recommend

The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond for us, exceptional service. Ines and brigette the owners made us feel so welcome and at home, and provided regular spot on recommendations for the best ways to enjoy jambiani. The location is ideal, right on the most beautiful clean white sand beach. The rooms are simple but very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was such a treat, homemade sourdough was a real surprise! Would hundred percent come back and recommend for couples or families.
