The location is perfect! The hotel has its own private beach that is still untouched. Beautiful both in low and high tide. The staff are just amazing and take care of every single detail from the second you reach the hotel until you leave it, they make you feel at home and wouldn’t let you leave the hotel without being completely satisfied. If you need some relaxation time away from everything I would highly recommend it.

Location of the Hotel is essential! It has it's own beach, with comfortable and all day acces to the ocean, without any dependence on high and low tide!!! Rooms are amazing 👏, clean, comfortable and well designed. Hotel has 3 restaurants, that are providing enough variety of cousins to enjoy every meal during your stay! And last but definitely not the least, staff is amazing, always smiling and positive 😊, a true "Hakuna Matata"!

The food was probably the best food I’ve had on holiday to date. The staff were friendly, always smiling and never missed a chance to great and check if everything is still alright. The boat cruise staff were delightful and made the trips nice and entertaining. There’s a lot of fish you can spot from the jetty which was cool. The cocktails will be missed as they never disappointed thanks to the cocktail bar man ! The live entertainment was nice as well. All in all, it was a lovely stay and a great way to end off the holiday.

The service is truly excellent - and the setting is both beautiful and comfortable. Delicious food and quite private as a spot. A real gem on the island! Also importantly - great WiFi - which is hard to come by on many properties. They also don’t charge extra for credit card transactions like every outlet does.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Nicole, manager, hostess, the main lady! She was so warm and vibrant! The resort was what we were seeking for an island retreat, the villas were so unique and gave the island retreat vibe. From the sound of the ocean outside the villa to the chill lax atmosphere in the restaurant area, the Baladian exceeded our expectations on what you want for a beach holiday. Nicole took the time to show us throughout the villa herself, which is rare from hotel staff. The resort staff were always friendly and smiling, this is something we did not find often during our stay in Zanzibar. We loved the whole experience, layout, and environment at the Baladian. I forgot to mention all of the cozy beach chairs and beds along with with ambient lighting made this beyond wonderful. This is how a beach resort is supposed to be. Thank you Nicole, thank you Baladian staff 🙏🏻. Do yourself a favor, stay more nights at the Baladian than other resorts. The beach is whiter, cleaner, and quieter. If you want to do excursions, they have you covered.

I loved all the staff. By the end of my 11 days they felt like family and I was so sad to say good-bye. I loved the beach bar, right on the beach so you could relax with one of Cassiano's surprise cocktail's just staring at the beautiful beach with sand in your toes. I loved the Christmas party and New Year's eve party they put on for the guests. They put so much effort into it and it was so much fun. Can't wait to come back.

One of the best hotels in Zanzibar! It was so nice to spend one week here! The Staff was friendly, but it is a usual thing for all the locals to have a smile on their face all the time. It is a huge area with the biggest swimming pool in Zanzibar. The resort is full of plants, so everything is green and full of energy, but at the same time, so relaxing. Jambiani is perfect for those who want to spend the holiday in a really silent place. If you want to go to party every night, then choose Paje. The breakfast was 100% exotic, full of juicy fruits + crepes, omelette, natural juices, salads... For us it was enough to have a fresh start in the morning. You’ll not be disappointed.

Had the best 8 days at Sunrise. Most relaxing, amazing holiday ever. Truly a bit of quiet paradise. Long sandy beaches and private bungalows. Perfect romantic stay, the food and staff were amazing especially Jumma, Rosy, Abu, Moussa, Latifa and Nala. A dream come true for us. Will definitely be returning soon! Best vibes! and the live music was such a nice touch in the evenings. 10/10 from us. Perfect for couples looking to escape and relax on the most beautiful beach in the world.

Incredible breakfast, beach is small lagoon,so ideal for snorkeling when high tide, lots of interesting fish, but wear shoes provided by hotel, since there is also lot of sea urchins in the water. The hotel is beautiful, the location couldn't be more perfect, the restaurant overlooking the seafront is stunning, I could sit there all day and watch the ocean. However, the best thing about this hotel for me was the managers and staff. My sister had a medical emergency a few hours after we arrived at the hotel and the managers were far too kind and made everything so much easier for us including running around to help us buy medicine in the middle of the night!. We had to extend our stay for ~10 days more and they were so accommodating. We are super grateful and I'll definitely stay here if I visit stonetown again.

Beautiful atmospheric Hotel! Formerly a palace and it still has kept that charme. Extremly spacious and comfortable rooms, the most beautiful are the ones with seaview. Great shower, super comfortable matress, beautifully decorated, stunning views and super centrally located. I saw a few Hotels in Stonetown and this was my absolute favourite. Also the Pool!!will defenitly come back and stay longer...
